The TI-83 Plus is one of the most popular graphing calculators ever made. Released by Texas Instruments, it became the standard calculator in high-school algebra, geometry, and statistics classes around the world. Our free TI-83 Plus online emulator brings the full calculator experience to your browser — no download, no installation, and no signup required.
It works just like the physical calculator: press the ON key to start, use your mouse or keyboard to press keys, and explore every menu exactly as you would on the real device. If you are studying for the SAT or ACT, this is a great way to practice.
1. Turn it on. Click the ON key in the bottom-left corner of the calculator. The home screen appears instantly.
2. Do basic math. Type an expression such as 2+2 and press ENTER. Use 2ND (blue) and ALPHA (green) to reach the secondary functions printed above each key.
3. Graph a function. Press Y=, type your function (for example X^2+3), then press GRAPH. Adjust the view with WINDOW and read values with TRACE.
4. Statistics. Press STAT, choose Edit to enter data lists, then STAT → CALC for 1-Var Stats, linear regression, and more. See our step-by-step linear regression guide for details.
5. Reset if stuck. Press 2ND → MEM → Reset to clear memory, or simply refresh the page — the emulator reloads with default settings.
The TI-84 Plus is the direct successor of the TI-83 Plus. Here is how they compare:

| Display | Monochrome 96×64 | Color 320×240 backlit |
| Processor | 6 / 15 MHz | 48 MHz |
| User memory | ~160 KB RAM | ~154 KB RAM + 3 MB archive |
| USB port | Silver edition only | Yes |
| Exam approval | SAT, ACT, AP, IB | SAT, ACT, AP, IB |
| Software compatibility | TI-83 Plus apps | Runs almost all TI-83 Plus programs |
Because the TI-84 Plus runs nearly all TI-83 Plus software, most keystrokes and programs you learn here also work on our TI-84 Plus CE online emulator. For symbolic algebra and calculus, try the TI-89 online instead.
Yes. Our TI-83 Plus online emulator is completely free to use in your browser. No download, installation, or signup is required.
The TI-84 Plus is the successor of the TI-83 Plus with a faster processor, more memory, a USB port, and a brighter screen. Both run almost the same software, so most TI-83 programs and keystrokes also work on the TI-84 Plus.
